Blake Gafford, MAcOM, LAc, was first introduced to acupuncture while attending Texas Tech. Born and raised in Lubbock, Texas he saw a real need for more acupuncture practitioners in this area, believing that if it had an increased local presence, he would have been able to enjoy its myriad health benefits sooner. Blake graduated from AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine where he recieved recognition as a top student, and was asked to serve as a student tutor in acupuncture, biomedicine and herbology. After obtaining a four year MAcOM, Blake obtained licensure from the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners and is board certified by the NCCAOM. In addition to acupuncture and herbology, Blake recieved four year training in modern biomedicine, which allows him to work alongside physicians to help his patients with their health concerns. While in practice, he has helped patients with a wide array of health issues, including both acute and chronic pain, many gynecological issues such as menstrual cramps, uterine fibroids, and PCOS, autoimmune disorders, chronic hepatitis, healthy weight loss, neurological disorders, allergies, asthma, mental and emotional issues, pregnancy and fertility problems. He has studied with world-renowned experts, including a highly respected pulse master, Will Morris, and has also studied Classical Chinese Medicine from Ann-Cecil Sterman, author of "Advanced Acupuncture: A Clinical Manual."
